Marie-Ikram Bouhlel
Marie-Ikram Bouhlel is an internationally recognized Architect & urban planner, specialized in lighting design, as well as the founder of Atelier dada. With a unique approach that combines artistic creativity, technical expertise, and environmental awareness, she has redefined lighting design as a powerful tool to transform spaces.
Trained as an architect-urbanist at ENAU, Marie-Ikram pursued advanced research on visual perception in urban environments at ISBAT before specializing in lighting design. She graduated as the top of her class from the ENSAPBX in Bordeaux with a master's degree in Ambiances and Comfort in Architecture and Urbanism in 2004, where her thesis on Sustainable lighting design left a lasting impression.
Over nearly 20 years, Marie-Ikram has led large-scale lighting projects across France and internationally. As a lighting architect, she focuses on creating luminous atmospheres that transcend functionality to offer emotional and visual experiences. Her work seamlessly blends light and shadow, enhancing architectural forms and bringing out the spirit of each place.
Her lighting design philosophy emphasizes storytelling, sustainability, and user well-being. She integrates light subtly into architectural details, crafting poetic and functional solutions that reflect her clients' values while fostering growth and brand identity.
Dedicated to collaboration, Marie-Ikram partners with local and international network of experts to tackle the most ambitious projects. Her refined touch, combined with multicultural influences, has established her as a leading figure in architectural and urban lighting design.
