On October 25, 2018, Atelier dada participated in the Smart City Seminar held as part of BATIMAGHREB 2018 in Tunis, an event bringing together professionals from architecture, design, and urban development across the region.
As a keynote speaker during the BIM (Building Information Modeling) session, Marie-Ikram Bouhlel, founder of Atelier dada, delivered a talk entitled “Strategic choices for intelligent and sustainable lighting design.” The presentation explored the connections between lighting design, digital tools, and smart city frameworks through an integrated and contextual approach.
Using selected project examples and practical insights, the talk highlighted the role of light in improving energy efficiency, reducing environmental impact, and shaping urban spaces that are more legible and user-centered.
BATIMAGHREB provided a unique platform for exchange around innovation in the built environment, particularly the integration of BIM and sustainable solutions. This intervention contributed to ongoing discussions on the essential role of lighting design in shaping smarter and more responsible cities.
