Atelier dada collaborates with blocher partners on the lighting design of the Goethe-Institut in Calcutta.
As a cultural venue dedicated to exchange and contemporary programming, the building brings together public spaces, artistic activities, and institutional functions. The lighting design responds to this diversity by supporting architecture and circulation while respecting the site’s cultural identity.
Light is conceived as a tool for clarity and presence, revealing volumes, materials, and thresholds, and shaping a restrained yet expressive nighttime reading aligned with the Institute’s cultural mission.
