Location: Gandhinagar, India
Dandi Kutir is a large-scale museum complex located in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, dedicated to the life, philosophy, and legacy of Mahatma Gandhi. The site includes a 48,000 sqm sculpture garden and a 55,955 sqm salt mound housing the conical museum and its surrounding landscaped areas.
The project was delivered for the municipality of Gandhinagar, with the CEPT CRDU team acting as professional advisors and designers. The wider collaboration involved multiple institutional and technical partners, including VMS Engineers / Architects, the R&B Department, the EPC contractor, and L&T.
The lighting design forms part of a broader symbolic and landscape-driven approach, supporting movement, spatial perception, and the museum’s narrative structure. This project represents a foundational milestone in Atelier dada’s portfolio, demonstrating expertise in lighting design for major cultural and civic landmarks.
