Location: Paris, France
The lighting design of Paris’s 13th District City Hall represents the first built realization arising from Lavis de lumière, the white paper developed by Atelier dada to rethink the nocturnal reading of Paris.
This project marks the first “pearl” of a civic pearl necklace, conceived as a constellation of public buildings connected through light, closely aligned with everyday urban life. The City Hall of the 13th arrondissement is the first to be implemented, following the signing of the initial contract within this framework.
Conceived as a measured and context-driven intervention, the lighting design aims to reveal the architectural presence of the building while affirming its civic role and nocturnal visibility within the urban fabric. The project reflects a broader vision of light as a sensitive link between institutions, inhabitants, and the city.
