Along the 14 km route of the TZen4, an unprecedented lighting landmark accompanies passengers: ARCHITEKTA.

More than a simple urban fixture, this multi-functional column was designed to illuminate, guide, and structure the public space. Positioned at every platform across the 30 stations, it provides homogeneous lighting for the platform, shelter, and roadway, while standing as a strong visual signature for the project.
A bespoke design for an optimized experience ARCHITEKTA stands out with its sleek and refined design , seamlessly blending into station environments. Its diffusing luminous ring glows in the signature blue of Île-de-France Mobilités , ensuring an immediate visual reference at every stop. It also features a unique detail : the TZ4 line name, laser-cut directly onto the column , is backlit , reinforcing its visual impact. This unprecedented feature serves a dual purpose— helping commuters navigate effortlessly while enhancing the lighting identity of the TZ4/Tzen4 . Resulting from an advanced technical collaboration , ARCHITEKTA was customized with the Franco-Spanish manufacturer Inconel Technologies , combining state-of-the-art technology, durability, and aesthetics for a high-performance and iconic lighting element. Lighting tailored to the user experience Standing at 6 meters in height , each ARCHITEKTA column ensures exceptional visual comfort , minimizing glare while guaranteeing optimal visibility across platforms. Installed two per platform , these columns create a fluid and rhythmic lighting pattern , naturally structuring the space. They are also integrated into an intelligent lighting management system , adjusting their intensity based on the TZ4’s operational cycles. This flexibility reduces energy consumption while maintaining a reassuring presence during nighttime hours. ARCHITEKTA – A signature light for the city ARCHITEKTA is not just a technical fixture; it is an integral part of the TZ4’s urban design . Its strategic placement and distinctive form contribute to the aesthetics and legibility of the journey , transforming each station into an identifiable and welcoming space . Explore the full TZ4 project and its lighting design in our Works section. Conclusion ARCHITEKTA represents a new generation of urban lighting , where technology and design come together to offer a seamless and innovative experience . Through this bespoke creation, Atelier dada reaffirms its commitment to designing intelligent and harmonious nightscapes , where light becomes a structural and poetic urban language .
