Interactive Urban Canvas

Located at a prominent junction in Prahlad Nagar, a thriving cultural and commercial district in Ahmedabad, this project redefines the building’s exterior as a dynamic, engaging canvas.
Placekinesis Architects invited Atelier dada to collaborate on the project, where striking bronze disks were already being installed on the façade. Positioned at a crossroads, the building’s façade called for a unique approach—traditional floodlighting wasn’t ideal for the office interiors, so we developed a custom media lighting solution that integrates seamlessly with the design. A discreet mounting arrangement ensures minimal intrusion while maximizing visual impact. With Interactive Urban Canvas , users can engage directly with the building via mobile phones. During the week, they can choose from Rothko-inspired digital paintings to display, creating a unique visual experience. On weekends, the façade comes alive with interactive games, allowing visitors to play ping pong or race cars, adding an element of fun to the cityscape. By blending artistic expression with cutting-edge technology, Atelier dada’s Interactive Urban Canvas establishes the building as a standout landmark in Ahmedabad’s cultural district, inviting the community to experience art and play in a whole new way.
