Ocean of Endless Bliss

Atelier dada was commissioned to design the illumination of both the facades and the sacred hall of the ISKCON Haveli Temple Complex, a spiritual center dedicated to worshipping Lord Krishna. Tasked with creating a prestigious, serene atmosphere, Atelier dada approached the project by blending cultural symbolism with an elegant architectural lighting design. This included optimizing natural daylight within the sacred hall, allowing the light to flow and enhance the spiritual environment throughout the day.
The lighting design concept centers on daily architectural illumination, with a layer of blue wall-washing that activates during festive nights to celebrate Krishna’s iconic blue, creating an ethereal and immersive experience for worshippers. Working within a modest budget, locally and Far Eastern-sourced products were selected, which did present certain limitations. As a result, certain lighting elements, such as the entrance, were reprioritized due to the client’s budgeting focus.
Despite these adjustments, the project achieved its goal of creating a spiritually uplifting and prestigious atmosphere, with a delighted client and positive feedback from visitors, who praised the lighting’s beauty and its enhancement of the worship experience.
