Every Christmas season, the town of Lagny-sur-Marne transforms into a kingdom of light and poetry, drawing its residents and visitors into an enchanting journey. Inspired by the graceful swans inhabiting the Marne River, we gave life to "The Swan Princess," the heroine of a luminous tale that turns the town into an ethereal and timeless universe of enchantment.

A Kingdom of Light and Dreams In just 15 days, we created a unique festive identity for Lagny. "The Swan Princess" inspired us to transform the town into a canvas of lights, weaving together story and magic along its streets. Majestically represented by an illuminated swan floating on the river, the Swan Princess glistens in the night, spreading hope each hour with her radiant light. Alongside her, her invisible prince wanders the town, accompanied by angelic birds symbolized by the lampposts on the main streets—a celestial procession in his quest to reunite with his love. Magical Places for a Dreamlike Heroine Throughout the squares, streets, and bridges, the town becomes a stage for this luminous tale. The main square becomes a theater of mystery and sorrow, with its fountain shedding tears of light, echoing the trials of the princess. The town hall, veiled behind a soft curtain of light, reveals itself in a mysterious glow, while illuminated trees guide visitors toward the church, gleaming under a starry sky. At the town library square, a more intimate scene unfolds: every hour, the prince and princess meet briefly, their silhouettes evoked by intertwining bird wings around a lamppost. This fleeting encounter, suspended between dream and reality, invites passersby to share in the emotion of an eternal love that transcends time. A Tree of Hope for an Inspired Town In homage to its German twin town Haslach, a grand Christmas tree, symbolizing hope and renewal, stands on the riverside. Residents and visitors are invited to hang luminous wishes on its branches, becoming part of this shared journey. Illuminated with shared hopes, this tree embodies the spirit of Lagny during the holiday season—a beacon of dreams and unity for the coming year.
