How can light reveal an architectural gesture and transform a business site into a living perceptual landscape?

Designed in 2013 for Parshwanath Business Park, developed by Parshwanath Developers, "PBP Digital Landscape" is the poetic title given by Atelier dada to the lighting of the architectural envelop and landscape vision developed in collaboration with architect Darshan Soni, founder of Apical Reform Architects.

The facade lighting concept sought to express the architectural gesture shaped by the organic solar shading devices that define the building’s identity. Through a digital matrix of LED pixels, these elements were revealed, extended and brought into resonance, generating an abstract and discreet digital landscape around them. Light was not applied as an overlay, but used to expose the architecture’s internal logic, rhythms and breathing.

The project was conceived in direct dialogue with the twin towers of Mondeal Square, which were being developed simultaneously. The intention was to establish a coherent nocturnal continuity between the two sites, playing with lighting tempos, rhythms and animated graphic sequences, to create a calm and harmonious urban reading.

This pixel-based logic extended into the landscape between the commercial and business entrances, which face one another. The ground itself became an active surface through the integration of digitally controlled LED paving units, forming a dynamic luminous carpet designed to guide movement, welcome visitors and mark thresholds.

Due to budget constraints, the project was not realized in its original vision. The facade was eventually lit using colored gobo projectors, while the landscape relied on linear LED lighting integrated into walls and landscape details.
As the built version was never documented, Atelier dada shares here the project’s initial and pioneering vision, as it was originally conceived.

"PBP Digital Landscape" reflects an early exploration of light as a digital landscape, a sensitive interface between architecture, use and perception.
