Wings of Light
Butterfly lights for the twin commercial towers Shilp Aaron
Ailes de lumière is a distinctive lighting concept conceived for the mixed-use Shilp Aaron project, a pair of towers located along a major urban axis. Offering ready-to-move-in units and generous landscaped spaces, the development explores a refined balance between urban density and the presence of nature.
Developed by Shilp Group, Shilp Aaron is part of a long-standing collaboration with Atelier dada, who has also contributed to several landmark projects for the group. This continuity has enabled the development of a coherent lighting language, renewed and reinterpreted with each new architectural context.
For Ailes de lumière, the lighting concept draws inspiration from natural elements and urban rhythms. Stylized “luminous butterflies” are integrated along the vertical axes of the façades, creating a delicate, airborne rhythm. These shimmering accents, reminiscent of dancing wings, animate the towers and capture attention from afar. An illuminated crown at the top completes the nocturnal signature, reinforcing the building’s presence within its surroundings.
Landscape lighting extends along the perimeter and into the inner courtyard, gently accompanying both architecture and planted greenery. Light reveals textures, highlights architectural details and establishes a calming atmosphere, forging a sensitive connection between mineral surfaces and living elements. Through this approach, Ailes de lumière gives Shilp Aaron a distinctive nighttime identity, where modernity and nature engage in a measured and harmonious dialogue.
