Symphony of Light in Motion

Shivalik & Shilp, two long-standing and trusted partners, commissioned Atelier dada to design the lighting concept for the exterior and semi-private interior spaces of their new luxury mixed-use commercial tower, Shivalik Shilp 1, located in Ahmedabad. Conceived as a prestigious yacht gliding through the constant flow of SG Road, the building called for a lighting language that would express motion, precision and quiet confidence.

The lighting concept adopts a minimalist yet dynamic approach, revealing the silhouette of the tower while introducing a subtle vibrancy into the surrounding urban landscape. Light traces the contours of the architecture like gentle waves, translating the energy circulating through the site into a calm, continuous visual movement.

Along the glass façades, human silhouettes in motion appear and disappear, passively interacting with light and color. Their presence shifts with each angle of view, animating the building without spectacle and allowing it to breathe with the life around it.

While the final implementation embraces a more restrained minimalism than the initial proposal, this choice, fully supported by the client, preserves the essence of the original vision. The project stands as a refined and coherent expression of shared trust, marking another meaningful chapter in Atelier dada’s long-standing collaboration with Shivalik & Shilp.
