Depth of Field

Set within a lush estate, the gardens of The Mango Tree Villa form an essential extension of the living spaces. Atelier dada designed the landscape lighting as a natural continuation of the architecture, seeking to illuminate the outdoor environment while maintaining its harmony and serenity.

Decorative fixtures are used with restraint to softly highlight vegetation and pathways, creating points of orientation without drawing attention to the light sources themselves. Integrated architectural lighting introduces gentle contrasts, revealing layers of foliage, ground textures and spatial depth.

As night falls, the garden is subtly animated. Light guides movement without directing it, accompanying evening walks with softness and continuity. During the final stages of the project, Atelier dada refined the positioning and balance of the fixtures, ensuring a coherent and understated visual composition.

The result is an immersive nocturnal landscape, where guests and residents are invited to explore slowly. A garden revealed by light, not transformed by it, offering a tranquil and contemplative experience after dark.
