Morphosis — A polymorphic light for the landscape
Private villa, Carthage, Tunisia
Luxury Residential
How can light adapt to evolving uses, rhythms, and the social life of a place?
This lighting study was developed by Atelier dada during the early design phase of a private villa in Carthage, Tunisia, designed by JDG Architectes.
Conducted between 2011 and 2013, the research explored a polymorphic lighting approach, conceived to respond to diverse uses and to accompany the project’s evolution over time, within a sensitive historical context.
The document presented here consists of a single lighting sketch, preserved as a trace of an intention and a moment of research. It reflects an approach in which light was considered as a structuring and adaptable element, in dialogue with architecture, landscape and ways of living.
