Funny Fireflies, that constellate the sky

Can its history be evoked through a few singular touches, so as to anchor it, through light, within collective memory? And what if we imagined an unprecedented, resolutely ecological way of symbolically illuminating our heritage?

In this study, initiated in early 2022, Atelier dada imagined an original luminous drone spectacle, inviting Parisians to rediscover the soul of their city. Initially conceived in dialogue with the Eiffel Tower area, this reflection led Atelier dada to identify the Jardin des Tuileries as the most fitting place to host this aerial ballet. From this green heart of Paris, the lights would rise like a coloured constellation in the night sky.

This sound and light spectacle reinterprets the mental maps of Paris in a playful and immersive way. Through aerial figures, it stages republican values, history, architecture, the Paris of tomorrow engaged in a more attentive transition, and the symbols cherished by Parisians. Driven by cutting-edge technology, this new kind of fireworks display is conceived as a more ecological and more sustainable proposition: a moving starry sky that reveals the identity of the city while creating deep bonds between Paris and its inhabitants, and weaving a shared memory worthy of the City of Light.

To communicate this project in 2D, some scenes were superimposed, playing with pixel intensity to illustrate the process. Guided by the text and the chosen music, the reader is invited to enter this vision and to dream, with us, of its possible materialisation.
