Some luminous forms are born from early intuition, travel through projects, and find their rightful place over time.

A-L’infini is a suspended lighting concept first envisioned in 2014 for an exclusive residential project. Although not implemented at the time, the idea continued to evolve, remaining active and relevant across years and contexts.

Inspired by the figure of infinity, the luminaire explores continuity, suspended motion and the notion of thresholds. It was conceived for transitional spaces such as lobbies, landings and circulation volumes, where light contributes to spatial experience rather than mere illumination.

Its design favors a fluid and timeless reading, where the light source dissolves into a continuous form that appears almost to float. The suspension becomes a spatial presence, structuring volumes through depth, rhythm and vibration, without imposing itself.

Today, "A-L’infini" is being further developed as part of a new ongoing project. This publication presents the initial intention and genesis of the concept, conceived from the outset as an adaptable object capable of responding to different architectural contexts.

The project reflects Atelier dada’s ongoing research into luminaires as sensitive extensions of architecture, shaping space through light, movement and time.

The lighting concepts and devices presented here are original creations by Marie-Ikram Bouhlel.
